The Town of Fairfax Parks & Recreation Department is excited to be bringing back camp this year. We will be offering 9 weeks of fun and safe summer day camps! For kids who have completed kindergarten to those who are 12 years old.

These camps will be located at the Fairfax Community Park & Bike Path on Hunt Street and run from 8AM to 5PM every week day. Our rain location is the BFA Fairfax School (75 Hunt Street) when needed due to inclement weather. We do not have an early release or late program so please make sure not to drop your child off before 8 AM and pick up needs to be complete by 5 PM.

Many of the daily activities will be focused around fun themes! In addition to our special weekly activities, your kids will enjoy outdoor exploration, arts & crafts, swimming, biking, and playing games with new and old friends. Each week has a staff to camper ratio of 1:7 with qualified and well trained staff members.

Your camper is expected to arrive with two healthy snacks and a lunch each day, as well as a good attitude! Please make sure to read the Family Handbook when we send it to you after your registration for full details on what to expect.

Pricing and Cancellation

Pricing for each week of camp is set at $185 per camper (except 4th of July week which is $120 as Monday and Tuesday there is no camp). The full amount owed for each camp is due two weeks before the camp begins, however, we are requiring a $25 non-refundable deposit per week of camp that is due by April 7th or 30 days after your registration (whichever comes later).

We will contact you within 72 hours (or the Monday after your registration if on Friday or later) of your registration being received for payment information. If we do not receive your deposit on the timeline denoted in that email, your spot will be lost.

Cancellations: In the event of a cancellation before full payment, we are not able to refund your $25 weekly deposit.

If you notify us of cancellation within the two weeks leading up to camp after you have paid the full amount, we will not be able to issue a refund to you.

If you notify us of cancellation after paying the full amount for any of the weeks you’ve signed up for, but before two weeks prior to the start of the camp, we will refund the remaining $160 fee.

Waitlists

If a camp week is full, you may still register for it and be entered to our waitlist for the week. A $25 deposit will not be required until you have been moved into an open slot for that week.

If a week has filled up and we have not updated our site or form to reflect that information, we will reach out to you as soon as possible to let you know you’ve been added to the waitlist for that week.

We encourage you to sign up even if the camp is listed as full, as we have had to pull from the waitlist often in previous years.

Youth Counselors

This is a new, trial run, program that we are launching this summer. Youth Counselors are people ages 12-15 who’s duties will be to assist the staff counselors in preparing activities, helping to coordinate snack/meal time, assisting with clean up and continuing to help the group stay organized.
