The Egg Run is back! Saturday August 5th, 2023

The Fairfax Egg Run is a family-friendly community event that is hosted by the Fairfax Parks and Recreation Department. All proceeds go towards the restoration of the Fairfax Community Center which is moving forward this year!

Join us for a 5K Run, 5K Walk or 10K Run. We also offer a Kids Fun Run for those 12 years old and under. Our beautiful course offers views of the Lamoille River and includes gentle rolling hills. After the race enjoy a made-to-order omelet in our food tent along with other wonderful post-race refreshments. We will also be selling T-shirts again this year,  so make sure to order yours when you register for the race!

We will award prizes to the three top finishers in the 5K Run and the 10K Run. We will also have awards for top performers in each age group.  As always, your race registration automatically enters you into our post-race raffle, for which we will have LOADS of prizes. 

Here are the some details:

The 10K Run and 5K Walk will start at 8:30AM

The 5K Run will start at 8:45AM

The Kid’s Fun Run will start at 9:45AM

The Awards Ceremony will start at 10:00AM 

For the 5K Run, 5K Walk and 10K Run the cost for Adults to pre-register is $25. The pre-registration cost for Youths (17 and under) and Seniors (65 and older) is $20. These prices are valid until June 1st, when prices will increase. Day of, in-person registration will have an upcharge.

  • Mile Sponsor: for $50 donation your logo will be featured at a mile marker of your choice
  • Race Shirt Sponsor: For $150-$300 donation your company logo will appear on our race shirt.
  • Egg Run Sponsor: For a donation over $300 your company logo will be featured on our race shirt, appear on our event website and on all promotional material

  • A helicopter tour from Mansfield Helicopter over Lake Champlain (for 2)
  • (2) Free Rounds of golf at Arrowhead Golf Course (1 w/cart)
  • One day family pass to Shelburne Museum
  • Family 4-pack admission to Jay Peak Pump House Waterpark

What does my participation support?

The Egg Run has always been a great fundraiser for community projects in Fairfax. It helped build a playground, our recreational fields, the community recreation path, and now it’s supporting the development of our Community Center!

All proceeds from this event help fund improvements to bring this building on Main Street up to compliance for large public assembly. We are closer than ever before to achieving the collective vision of a multi-generational community space in Fairfax, and that’s why we’re calling on you to help us clear the last few hurdles!

There’s a great benefit to the entire area in having a space like this to organize meal distribution, provide shelter in an emergency, and utilize for community events and gatherings.
