The Ducky Race is an annual event that raises money for the Parks and Recreation Department!
This year’s Ducky Race will be held on July 16th, 2022 at 5:30PM. You can join us at the Community Park on Hunt Street to watch the event in person. This will take place during our second Summer Mash-up which will start at 4:30 PM. We will have food trucks, local vendors and live music!
As with most of our fundraising efforts at the moment, the money raised will benefit our efforts to restore the Baptist Building on Main Street into a multi-generational community center & hub for community activities and to support new and creative opportunities for all residents!
You may purchase tickets (one ticket = one rubber duck) to enter rubber ducks into the race from local businesses including Nan’s, Minors, Erica’s, J&L, Fairfax PT, Rainville’s Auto, Snips, Home Hair, and Revive (in St. Albans). If you are a local business that would like to get in on the action (sell tickets) let us know! * Note the business who sells the most tickets will win $100 cash and get their name on the coveted Duck Trophy!
You can also purchase your tickets right here online! ***Please note when you are purchasing tickets online, put your (Name), (email address), (phone number) in the note/description section so that we can put your information attached to a duck. If you do not get email confirmation in 3 days, please reach out to us via firstname.lastname@example.org.
On the day of the race all the rubber ducks will be dropped in the Lamoille River from the bridge and the duck that makes it to the finish line first wins.
