Registration for 2016 summer camps is now open.  Participants who have completed Kindergarten to age 12 are welcome.  The Greater Burlington YMCA are the Fairfax Parks & Rec. Dept. are working together to bring you exciting and unique specialty camps this summer in Fairfax!

2016 Summer Specialty Camps in Fairfax

-June 20/June 24, “Buggin’ Out”
Explore the variety of insects that live in Vermont! Campers will have fun learning about the important roles insects have in our backyard ecology.

-June 27/July 1, “Time Travelers & Treasure Hunters”
Travel back in time! This week campers will learn about the history of Lake Champlain dating as far back as the last ice age and fast forward to modern times.

-July 5/July 8, “Nature’s Pantry”
Nature is a busy and curious kitchen! In this camp, campers will learn about seasonal fruits and vegetables, and everyday uses for native plants.

-July 11/July 15, “Sports Extravaganza”
Have a ball while learning a thing or two about sports! This week campers will learn new games, play their favorite, and have fun trying new things!

-July 18/July 22, “Engineering Adventures”
Campers will invent and build their way through this week to solve everyday problems and find the engineer in all of us!

-July 25/July 29, “Walk on the Wild Side”
Experience the park through a mixture of ecology, craft & stealthy observation.

-August 1/August 5, “Superheros”
Campers will create their own superhero and experiment with the science behind their magical powers!

-August 8/August 12, “Toad-ily Awesome”
Hop on over to camp and investigate the world of amphibians!
